My favorite comedian. Always funny. I saw him live as a young man and laughed so hard that I thought I might die. At one point in the show, he pulled out a cigarette and asked anyone in the audience for a light. A young woman walked to the stage with a lighter. He leaned over to light his cigarette and said, "Born to serve." Yeah...not PC now, but it was good natured fun and his delivery was impeccable. Such a pro. I miss entertainers like this as I grow older.

Rodney Dangerfield and Georgie Jessel are an equal of the one liners.

The world is in such terrible shape. I finally realized what it is. Rodney is gone.

My name is dale. I grew up with him and he gave a light that shined bright and kept me takeing life with stride. I was trying for years to meet him and give hime a plack that i made for him with the ok symbole and a saying hear is your little respect. Saw you live at Carnegie Hall awhile back, couldn't hear the whole show because we were sitting in the nosebleed section, but enjoyed what I did hear. If I get down in the dumps, I watch a Tonight Show appearance to snap me out of it. The best!!!

When I saw you do that "Triple Lindy" in "Back To School" it made me feel that I could learn to swim! You always reminded me of my Grandfather, My family and I have enjoyed your comedic genius so very much for so many years. I have to say "Caddyshack" is my favorite.

One of my favorite movies of all time is "Easy Money" which I watched in 1983, the first weekend after I moved to Staten Island. Although living in Staten Island is not as it was depicted in the movie, I still love watching it in reruns because of Rodney. He was always one of my most favorite comedians and he was excellent in this movie. My favorite scene: He and Joe Pesci are looking for an all-night diner after that evening's bender. Finally, after much disappointment, they come across one and Rodney gets to the front of the Diner and reaches for the door, all the lights in the diner go out. He looks at the sign and it says "Open 23 Hours". Classic Rodney. I will miss you my friend. God bless you.

I recently taped an episode of the sitcom "Still Standing" so that in my absence, I wouldn't miss the show. To my sheer delight, it had a guest appearance by our dear Rodney ~ God rest his soul. Normally I watch the tape and then record other shows over it . . . but I think this time, THIS one's a keeper. I missed his humor minutes after hearing of his passing. He had a style that withstood the test of time. Our loss is Heaven's gain. My deep respect and sympathy to the family.

He will truly be missed and he was a great comidian and very talented actor and I for one will alwalys remember his movie Lady Bugs and Caddyshack. Love and blessings to his family and friends and rest in peace to Rodney Dangerfeild.

i can still remember when 2 college friends and I climbed into my beat up old Chevy 20 years ago and chanced driving 150 miles to see one of the legends of comedy.I never laughed more than I did that night.Rodney was one of a kind and we will never see anyone like him again.He will be greatly missed.
