Oh Dear Rod,
You truly are a gifted, gracious, Christian Gentleman
Filled with kindness, serenity, and thoughtfulness.
How we so enjoyed talking with you about everything,
Mainly: Church, Communion, and inclusive Community!
Even though you had, at times, difficulty hearing
You were still the most loving listener.
Indeed, you explored all the exciting and unlimited aspects
Of Christ's unconditional love and forgiveness.
We mourn your departure from this world,
But at the same time, we can celebrate with you
That life, love, learning, listening, and sharing
Never end!
May your fine family, many friends, and all of us
Be truly blessed and comforted in this special time
Of sadness, and yes, serving also!
With deep love and sympathy,
Edith and Gordon

Dear Family,
What an amazing man, too many good attributes to count: interesting, engaging, kind, full of love for his family and humanity, looking for the good in others, and more. It was an honor to be his chaplain in hospice, to own and read his books and to meet his family. My condolences to you. thoughts and prayers, Carole Butler, Care Group Parmenter Hospice.

A beautiful man in every way. He shared the joy of life and love with all he knew. When I think of Mr. Ferris a smile grows in my heart. I feel lucky to have shared life and love with him and his wonderful family. Know our thoughts are with you all.

To the Ferris Family,
I consider myself lucky to have known and worked with your Mom and Dad over almost thirty years. They were both remarkable people and I considered them to be friends as well as patients. Class acts to the utmost. Please accept my sincere condolences and know that my thoughts are with you and your families.
