I´m so sorry to hear this sad news. Rodney was my very best friend growing up in Colorado Springs. We first met when I began attending Holy Trinity School in the sixth grade (see the attached class photo showing Rodney in the front row on the far right) and we remained close through our years at St. Mary´s High School. Rodney´s fondness for hockey began early; as soon as he received his driver´s license, we would go regularly to Saturday night Colorado College home games at the old Broadmoor World Arena. After St. Mary´s, I headed to the East Coast for college and later to Engand for graduate school, and we lost touch - to my eternal regret. Beyond being one of the few people who put up with my many eccentricities, Rodney served as a model and a source of motivation for my own academic development. Without his friendship, my youth would have been much the poorer. I take great comfort in the fact that he enjoyed such a rich and happy life, surrounded by family and engaged in activities that brought him joy. I extend my sincerest condolences to his loved ones for their loss and hope that they will always find consolation in his memory.

Such sad news. We have known Rodney since moving into Belle Terre in 2004. Pat served with him on the early Board of Directors. Recently, our connection to he and his family has been seeing Kelly at the Paul Derda recreation facility. Always a smile and a few nice words. We know how difficult these times can be for those left behind; and send our fond wishes to all of Rodney´s family for peace and comfort.
