Rodney M. Owens, of Albany, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the age of 71. He was born on Tuesday, December 1, 1953, in Independence, Louisiana. Rodney was a truck driver and a mechanic who repaired lawn mowers and other outdoor equipment.
Rodney is survived by his two sons, Rodney Owens, Jr. and Blake Owens and his wife, Larrilyn; grandchildren, Karleigh, Kayden, and Bryson Owens and Eli; two brothers, Max Owens and his wife, Barbara and Paul Owens and his wife, Margo, and his sister, Lily Owens Williams and her husband, Mitch.
He was preceded by his daughter, Lynee Owens, his parents, Ralph and Reba Addison Owens, and his brother, LeRoy Owens.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 9:00 am until the funeral service begins at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Gatlin Cemetery in Hammond, Louisiana.
