David, Rodney R. “Rod”, 72, Bellwood, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born May 20, 1953, Altoona, son of the late Ray N. David. Also preceded in death by his son, Matthew David. Rod is survived by his mother, Helen E. (Walters) David of Altoona; daughters, Nicole (Michael) Leshok of Sykesville and Christina (James) Higgins of Pittsburgh; siblings, Mary (Jim) Cowan, Tim (Pat) David, and Jeff David, all of Altoona; 8 grandchildren, Cross (Kyra) Harris, Cash Leshok, Ashley Leshok, Mackenzie Leshok, Reese Leshok, Sophie Higgins, Sara Higgins, and Myah Higgins; and a great-grandchild, Viviana, along with another on the way. Rod graduated high school from Bellwood Antis School District. He then worked as a mechanic and machine operator. In his spare time, Rod enjoyed hiking, woodworking, automotive repair, and photography. He especially loved riding his Harley with his friends. Rod also treasured spending time with his grandchildren. Family and Friends will be received at Rose Hill Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 10 a.m., Rev. Dr. Barry M. Folmar officiant. Interment will follow at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
