In memory of
Delfin Alarcon Butingan
April 30, 2020
Finally Ody had his final rest with full of joy with the Almighty. Bring together with Tiya Lydia, Ate Deng, Sayang and Ate Ellen the extreme happiness that they all received blessings from our Father In Heaven.
So for you my cousins, sadness and grieved was substituted with calmness, less pains, more of it is the happiness that stays in our hearts forever.
Ody is a remarkable men of humorous talents and kindness to all his family , extended families and friends.
More of that is his moral supports to all who needs help financially and spiritually.
A man of God who understand fully his obligation to bring memorable jokes and stories to tell.
A very loving cousin of mine who in one way or the other always there with me sharing good things that I treasured and remembered.
A man of very kind heart that every one can admired.
Ody is my cousin, a friend, brother and of the same Christian faith that is evidently shown when he was still in this world. I loved him dearly , to be honest, its hard to believe that Ody had leave me in surprise.

Kuya. We tried our best and we never gave up and prayed unceasingly. But God had other plans for you and called you to come home. Though it hurts, we have to let go. Be with Nanay now and this is not goodbye but until we meet again.

On April 14, 2020 we lost this crazy, silly guy. He had the worst/best one-liners packed with humor and wisdom that left us all hesitantly accepting it. He retold the same stories of his time in the Navy. He would throw jokes left, right, up and down without missing a beat. He lit up the room. He loved our family so much and lived his life to the fullest, but it was sadly taken away way too soon. Although we are grieving separately, we celebrate his life together as family and loved ones. With so much uncertainty these past few months, we remember to be grateful for things that are always certain. We are certain that Uncle Ody was loved and loved us all in return. Rest easy and say hi to Nanay for us. Until we meet again.

Rodolfo Rudy Concepcion was a son, brother, friend, veteran, and husband. In my time of knowing him, I am proud to say he was my father.
I remember my father as a funny, laid back, and easy going man. He always had a joke to tell and a laugh to share with everyone he met. Growing up, he would always give my brothers and I humorous advice to cope with the challenges of the world. When we were in school, hed tell us, its better to cheat than to repeat. When he taught us how to drive, hed tell us, its not illegal if no one sees it. When we started to work after college, hed tell us, work a little, rest a lot.
Despite his easy going nature, you could tell he was serious about his commitments to his country, his duties, and, most importantly, his relationships. The first and, unfortunately, only time I visited the Philippines with my father, I could tell he truly loved growing up there. I could tell he was a true patriot through his service in the United States Navy. I could tell he loved his friends and family by the lengths he would go to keep in touch and reach out. In his final days, he was as humorous, selfless, and caring as the day I could first remember of him.

Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is my dad. He was a proud veteran, a devout believer in God, and the most selfless person I know. My brothers & I couldnt have asked for a better dad. He was always there to tell a joke, give advice, and tell me to have faith when I would lose my way. This week has been difficult. My heart breaks for every family that has to go through this during this unprecedented time. Covid 19 took my dad away too soon, but I find comfort that he is up above.
