Eulogy for a Veteran
by Mary Elizabeth Frye
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousands words that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the mornings hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I didn't die.

My deepest sympathy for the loss of Rodolfo Rodriguez. He was a friend of my son Cpl Michael James Jaurigue KIA 26May07.They were both in the same platoon in Iraq in 2006-2007. Sgt Rodolfo Rodriguez and his family stopped by my house before his deployment to Afganistan in Aug11 to meet us. He was a Outstanding young man and soldier with a wonderful family. You will be so very much missed by all. May God Bless you Roldolfo and your wonderful family. Jose Noe Jaurigue

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. I truly feel your loss and pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Rodolfo will never be forgotten.
For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
For those missing in action;
for those who didn’t make it home.
I know you’re in God’s presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.
I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
I Salute You.

My heart goes out to the family, each and every member. I have no children of my own, and I cannot image the kind of pain of losing a child. One should never have to lose a child, under any circumstance. I pray for healing and, in the end, peace. Rudy, I thank you for your honorable service for our country.
Respectfully,
Sylvia Kronenwetter

Our sincere condolences on your families tragic loss....your son, grandson, husband/partner, father, best friend, colleague and our nation's soldier. Sgt. Rodolfo Rodriguez, Jr. sacrificed his life so that we all may live and walk in our streets and neighborhoods in this country without fear.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow;
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain;
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
Do not stand at my grave and mourn.
I am the dew-flecked grass at dawn.
Where tranquil oceans meet the land
I am the footprints in the sand
To guide you through the weary day.
I am still here; I'll always stay.
When you wake up to morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there; I did not die~
Mary Elizabeth Frye (1932)
Peace be with all of you~
