Rodolfo Teves Obituary
October 16, 1938 – October 13, 2025
Rodolfo "Rudy" Tugbo Teves passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Seton Hospital in Kyle, Texas, just days before his 87th birthday.
Born in Bayawan, Philippines, Rudy lived a full and adventurous life that took him from the islands of his youth to New York City, California, and finally to Texas. A mechanical engineer by trade and a self-taught handyman by instinct, there was little he couldn't fix or build. Long before the internet made it easy to look things up, he could repair anything with patience, creativity, and a roll of electrical tape.
Rudy was raised in the Catholic faith, guided by quiet belief and steady gratitude. He was known for his quick smile, easy laugh, and an infectious joy that often found its way to the dance floor, especially when salsa music played. He was kind, direct, and quick to forgive, showing love through action: a fixed appliance, a shared meal, a story told over dinner. And of course, no memory of him would be complete without hearing his trademark expression, "SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!".
Rudy is survived by his children Jun Jun and Jeidy Teves, Claire and Roy Cuevas, Sharon and Kat Powers, Rodney and Teresa Teves, and Stephen and Sonya Teves; and by his grandchildren Mikey, Juvy, Jaden, Denzel, Bryan, Patchie, Jared, Jacob, Kraven, Kaiden, Matthew, and Joshua.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew his warmth, wit, optimism, and smile
