Rodolfo Ibarra Vazquez, 82, beloved father and grandfather, passed away on January 19, 2026. Rodolfo was born on April 9, 1943, in Zacatecas, Mexico, and was the second son of Leonarda and Narcizo Ibarra. He and his family moved to Monterrey, Mexico, where he grew up, studied, and became a radio technician. He married his wife Maria Luisa Ibarra Vasquez in 1966.
Rodolfo was a dedicated handyman his whole life, often tinkering and fixing things for his family and others. In his younger years, he loved playing baseball and soccer, and enjoyed being with his family- especially his grandchildren. Rodolfo was a devoted Catholic, always praying the rosary and sharing his love of God with all.
Rodolfo is survived by his wife, Maria Luisa Ibarra, his sisters, Nancy Gonzalez and Gloria Castellano, his 5 children, Maria Nancy Ibarra, Rodolfo Ibarra Jr., Imelda Ruth Dookie, Jamie Ibarra, Luis Carlos Ibarra, his son and daughter in law, Sean Dookie & Mercedes Ibarra, his grandchildren, Madeline Ibarra, Gia Ibarra, Janis Dookie, Jessica Ibarra, Alejandra Torres, Tais Torres, Jayda Dookie, Nessie Ibarra, Keylen Ibarra, Kimberly Ibarra, Christopher Ibarra, and his great grandchildren, Alicia & Mateo Carranza, and Chrsitian, Carlos Antonio, & Mariana Rojano.
He joins his mother Leonarda and father Narcizo in heaven, alongside his siblings, Raul Ibarra, Guadalupe Villagomez, Narcizo Ibarra Jr., Beatrice Gonzalez, Camilo Ibarra, and his beloved granddaughter- or as he would call her, his reynita, Nadege Ibarra.
Rodolfo will be remembered for his quiet wisdom, strength, and perseverance through hardship. His memory will live on through his loving wife, children, and grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Followed by funeral service on Saturday, January 24 at 6:00 PM both at Casey & Rios Funeral Home at 4540 W. Diversey Ave., Chicago, IL.
