Newark, VT: Rodrick Oscar “Rocky” Rodger, age 72, of Newark Street, died at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury, VT, on Monday, November 10, 2025.
Rocky was born on October 25, 1953, son to the late Richard Harold and Laura Catherine (Sebastin) Rodger. He grew up in Newark and graduated from Lyndon Institute with the Class of 1971. He worked at Weidmann as a multi skilled machinist for many years.
Rocky enjoyed going on trips with his wife, Charlotte and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed time outside in the summer and was starting to get back into sugaring along with starting a sawmill with his great-nephew, Matthew Gray. Rocky will be remembered as a great friend and Uncle to many.
He is survived by his beloved wife of the past 10 years, Charlotte (Walker) Rodger, his 4 children: Rodrick Rodger Thomas Rodger, Adam Rodger and wife, Healther, of South Carolina, Felicia Caron and husband, Shawn, of Lyndonville, step-son: Brian Sheltra and fiancé, Shellie, of St. Johnsbury, 3 grandchildren: Addison Rodger, Abby Rodger, Keianna Catlett, and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister: Maxine Rodger.
Services will be held at 1PM Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Guibord-Pearsons Funeral Home, 15 Main Street in Lyndonville. Friends may call on the family from 11AM Saturday morning until the hour service. Burial will be at a future date at the Woodmont Cemetery in E. Burke.
