Rody John DeMott

Rody John DeMott, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away suddenly on November 16, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on September 12, 1955, Rody's life was marked by his wisdom, intelligence, and the love he generously extended to all who knew him.
Rody is survived by his cherished wife, Michelle, with whom he shared a beautiful and enduring partnership. His mother, Dorrena, will remember him as a son who brought immense pride and joy into her life. Rody's legacy will live on through his children: Kindra (Jim) Austin, Tara DeMott, and his stepchildren Eric Snyder, Jeremy (Sydney) Snyder, and Jonathon (Amanda) Snyder. His siblings, Terry (Beth) DeMott, Jerry DeMott, and Linden DeMott, will hold dear the memories of their brother.
His grandchildren, Nicole, Katlyn, Ashton, Ethan, Morgan, Noah, Trenton, Drew, Cayden, Asher, and Rylee, will miss their grandfather's guiding presence and the stories he shared. Rody was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Avery, who brought additional joy to his later years. He was preceded in death by his father, John, and his brothers, Alan and Michael, who have welcomed him into eternal rest.
Rody's passion for life was evident in his hobbies. He had a remarkable talent for rebuilding cars, a skill he honed with patience and precision. His friends and family will fondly recall the hours he spent restoring classic automobiles to their former glory. Rody was also a formidable opponent at the pool table, where his competitiveness and steady hand often led him to victory.
Those who knew Rody will remember him as a loving, wise, and intelligent man. He had a way of making each person he encountered feel valued and understood. His advice was sought by many, as he had an uncanny ability to offer insights that were both profound and practical.
