It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and loving husband, Rogelio Carrillo. He was cherished deeply by family and friends. He brought so much kindness, patience, and unwavering love into our lives. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Rogelio "Roy" was born on June 19,1963 in San Diego, CA and lived most of his life in National City, CA with his family. Family was always at the forefront, having established his business, "Roy's Toy's" alongside his wife Sofia and bringing in many family members to work alongside him.
Roy was a loving, kind, patient and compassionate man until the very end, often asking if we were okay and not to worry. His calm demeanor truly exemplifying his caring soul, but mess with his family and the lion would come out. Roy loved watching the Padres, Jerry Lewis classics, listening to classic rock and funk music, and watching TikTok (often to talk politics and express his hate for the orange faced man). He was selfless and never asked for anything (unless it was his Saladitos, chili dogs, Takis, Chamoy, or popsicles or slushies). Above all, he loved being a grandfather to all his grandchildren, making jokes, and caring for his loved ones.
Roy is survived by his wife, Sofia Carrillo and children Evelia Carrillo, Juana Carrillo, Jessica Carrillo Rumbo, and Rogelio "Roy" Carrillo Jr. and his grandchildren Elysia Bella Ramirez, Marcelo Elias Muñoz, Julia Metzli Rumbo and Marianna Xitlalic Rumbo.
Although, Roy is now in heaven with his parents, siblings, and granddaughter Micaela Emma Muñoz, he will be missed immensely by his family and will remain always and forever in their hearts. Our family thanks everyone for their support and kind words, thoughts, and prayers.
In my dad's favorite words "que dios los bendiga".
