Rev. Rogelio Faragoza was born August 25, 1956, to Agustin and Elena Faragoza. He was born in Robstown, Texas and grew up in Kingsville, Texas.
He married Eva, the love of his life, December 13, 1981. He worked as a cook, nurse and Pastor. He was an Army veteran. On November 22, 1984, he gave his life to Christ while working offshore for Marine Drilling on JStorm 14 oil rig. In 1991, he became Pastor of Emmanuel Christian Church while also starting his career in nursing as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. He loved working with the elderly and in hospice. He always brought a sense of peace to those he cared for. He loved Jesus and he especially loved his family. He treasured the spiritual legacy left by his parents and the unwavering faith to believe for the salvation of his siblings, nieces and nephews. His children and grandchildren brought him a deep sense of love, joy and pride.
Pastor Roy was a humble, reliable, dedicated servant leader. Not only did he serve the Lord as Pastor for 33 years, he served UPLCII as a member of the Executive and Board of Trustees. He believed in encouraging his fellow co-laborers and encouraging the church to fulfill the great commission.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Agustin and Elena Faragoza and his sister Rebecca Charles.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Evangelina Faragoza. His daughter, Laura (Glen) Smith. His sons, Augustin Faragoza of Houston, Roy (Donna) Faragoza Jr of Victoria and Lucas (Cindi) Faragoza of Corpus Christi. Grandchildren Lian, Alana, Eleanor, Gavin and Nathan. His brothers Greg (Blanca) Faragoza, Abraham Faragoza and Billy Faragoza. His sisters Ninfa (Neto) Martínez and Elva Faragoza. Numerous nieces and nephews.
