Rogelio Gonzalez, born on December 29, 1929, in Asunción, Paraguay, passed away on August 17, 2024, in Orlando, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. Rogelio met the love of his life, Gladys Gonzalez, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They married on November 5, 1959, and together they embarked on a journey that took them to the United States in 1965. Upon arriving, Rogelio applied his skills as a welder, notably helping to weld part of the fence surrounding the White House.
After living in Maryland for five years, Rogelio and his family settled in Florida, where he transitioned into the Walt Disney World Horticulture department. Rogelio's work ethic and commitment were evident in everything he did, from his skilled welding to his contributions to the beauty of Walt Disney World. His warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.
He is survived by his beloved wife Gladys; his sons Roger, Greg, and Carlos; and his cherished grandchildren Tessa, Treven, Leah, and Emily. Rogelio's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
