I was called by Debbie Faust-Sikich called me several days ago to let me know of Roger´s passing. Until 4 years ago, I hadn´t seen Roger in several years, and Debbie kindly took me to the IBEW "Boys´ " weekly meeting for Roger at the Quonset. I came up behind Roger and hugged him. He turned around and started crying (and writing that has made me cry.) Prior to that my husband, Ray and I were dining at Bonnie Brook and saw the `Boys´. While I talked to Roger, my Ray talked to David. As we left, Ray said, "Those guys really like you´ and I responded, "I REALLY like them.´ And, of course, Roger was my favorite. Roger never failed to help me with anything we needed at Bob Will´s Office, like changing the times our lights came on and off and fixing exit lights, from which came one of my favorite `Roger´ stories (which I teased him about often). Roger came one night to fix the Exit Light in my office and it started on fire (which `fire´ promptly went out). Roger always said, "It did not." My response always was, "When there´s smoke and flames, that´s a fire." Also when I was a Board Member of a local charity, Roger always saw to it that IBEW donated wonderful Auction items for our Annual Fundraiser. I could go on and on about Roger´s kindness, his humor, his laugh, and how much I loved everything about my wonderful friend, Roger. This World now has a huge opening, which will be very difficult to fill. (The attached pic is of my trying to be as big as Roger.) My Class Reunion´s Picnic is Sept 23, so sadly I won´t be able to be at the visitation, but I do want his entire family (of which he spoke so often) that you all have my deepest and most sincere sympathy.
