Roger Bowles Obituary

Born July 31st, 1949 in Greenbrier, WV. He was the son of the late Wamon Bowles and Emma Mae Kirk Bowles.
He was of the Baptist Faith.
He retired from Walnut Hill Orchard in Charles Town, WV, worked for William Hazel in Chantilly, VA and The Kable Family, Charles Town, WV.
He is survived by three sons, Timothy and wife Stephanie Bowles, Gary (Peewod) and wife Heather Bowles and Roger Bowles, Jr.; three grandchildren, Morgan and husband Jaden Fritts, Riley and husband Dylan Barger, and Austin Bowles and (Fiance, Shannon Stitley); one great-granddaughter, Harlynn Bowles; one brother, Walter Bowles one sister, Loretta Bowles and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Billy, Danny, Charlie, William and James; sisters, Louise Bowers and Martha Simons and one grandson, Corey Bowles.
Roger enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, and spending time with family and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, 2025 at the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Ranson, WV with Rev. Bucky Chapman officiating.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg, WV.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Roger's name to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
