My Condolences to the Browning Family. As a First Office Agent in Phoenix, Roger took me under his wing, taking me on arrests of violent criminals, and later welcoming me to the SWAT team, where we had some great missions-Danny Ray Hornung fugitive hunt in the Grand Canyon, the Scottsdale bank hostage situation, the LA Riots, bus hijacking, extortion in the desert, and the many drug raids and fugitive arrests. Roger was the guy you wanted next to you on every room entry/every mission. He was a great leader who always looked out for his people, and exemplified the quiet professional. But he also had many a great story to tell. To a baby agent he made the Bureau an exciting career. Roger was the reason I tried out for, and made it through HRT selection, as he fully prepared me for all the rigors of the process. He was a great friend and mentor. You will be missed "Ole Boy!"
Servare Vitas,

So sorry to learn of Roger´s passing. I have so many memories of our time in Kansas City, HRT and while he was Team Leader in Phoenix and I was Team Leader in Dallas. He was special! My best to his entire family. Biff Temple.
