I'm so sorry to hear about Roger! You had such a great life always posting the fun things you all did!

Roger was a key part of our Monday night Mad Gladiator Tennis group. He was a fierce competitor that could make you laugh on the court. His quick fire backhand was legendary. Personally, his friendship meant a lot a lot to me. He had asked me to partner up and play at Mesa Tennis Center, which was a huge shot of confidence for me, as he was the more effective and experienced player. While that was not in the cards for us, he will always be one of my favorite doubles partners. I think about him every Monday night when I take the court at Gilbert Regional, and I feel his spirit is smiling somewhere, laughing along with us. He made an impact on a lot of players, and our group will not be the same without his positive energy. However, we are all better for having those nights of camaraderie. As a group, we are sending love to his family in this difficult time. - Mark Zeller (Picture of myself and Roger after winning our 2nd Mad Gladiators doubles tourney)
