Roger Day Obituary

Born in Newark, Mr. Day resided in West Orange until moving to Brookdale in Monroe Township 2 1/2 years ago. Mr. Day worked as an actuary for Fidelity Union Bank. In his free time, Mr. Day loved ballroom dancing. He was particularly fond of the Spanish and Latin music and dance styles. He loved the NY Mets! He also loved to golf, bowl, and marching in Hawthorne Caballeros Drum Corps. His favorite restaurant Pals Cabin in West Orange was a home away from home.
Predeceased by his parents, Edward and Marie Day; and his brothers, John, Edward, and James. Roger is survived by his brother, Joseph; as well as many extended family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 156 Maxwell Avenue, Hightstown, NJ.
Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Roger's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by visiting In Memory Of at
Arrangements are under the direction of Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ.
