Roger J. Eckman Sr.

Roger J. Eckman, Sr. of Peach Bottom, PA, formerly of Riverside, N.J. passed away peacefully at

his residence on Monday, February 16, 2026 while under the care of Hospice.

Born in Mount Holly, he graduated from Rancocas Valley High School and lived in Riverside, N.J.

most of his life and enjoyed vacationing out in Lancaster County for many years before making

Peach Bottom his permanent residence in 2008. He served his country as an Army veteran.

Roger loved camping, woodworking and actually remodeled two homes. During his retirement,

he and his wife, Barbara enjoyed a lot of traveling and good times together visiting all 50 states.

Early in his working career, Roger had been a mail carrier in Riverside and later worked for many

years in quality control in the plastics industry.

He was pre-deceased by four siblings; John Eckman, Shirley Robbins, Harry "Keith" Eckman, and

Jerry Eckman.

Roger is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Johnson Eckman, two daughters, Donna

Eckman and Denise Muchowski and her husband, Joseph, one son, Roger J. Eckman, Jr., one

grandson, Mark Muchowski, two honorary granddaughters Kim Amsilli and Lea Hibdon along

with their mother Josette Amsilli, two sisters, Barbara "Susie" Hurlburt and Rita Parrish, a

brother, James "Jimmy" Whitton, sister-in-law Fay Eckman and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Perinchief Chapels, 438

High Street, Mount Holly, N.J. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will

follow at Lakeview Memorial Park Mausoleum. Cinnaminson, N.J. In lieu of flowers, memorial

contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
