Roger Allen Formhals

Austintown- Roger Allen Formhals age 64 turned in his truck keys Wednesday March 17, 2010, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Roger was active up until the last four weeks of his life, keeping those wheels turning on the highway. Roger was born July 10, 1945, in Fulton County, Illinois, the son of Clark and Betty Formhals. He graduated from Cuba High School and then went on to marry Sharon Pletcher on August 13, 1965. They lived together in the Youngstown, Ohio area for the last thirty nine years. Roger kept a good book in his back pocket and a talk show on the radio. He was know worldwide and loved by his amateur radio friends as WB8ZEE. If you needed anything he was always ready and willing to help. Roger was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by wife, Sharon Formhals, three brothers, Eldon, David and Danny Formhals, sons, Jeffrey (Sarah) Formhals, Brian (Jennifer) Formhals and five grandchildren, Brad, Alex, Scott, Christian and Elijah Formhals. Family and friends may call from 2-4 pm Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
