Roger Lee Goodman, age 66, of Clinton, formerly of New River, passed away on August 23, 2024 at the North Knoxville Medical Center in Powell. Roger was born in Oliver Springs, Tennessee on July 7, 1958 to Daniel Ward and Georgia Louise Goodman. Roger loved his ice cream, especially strawberry flavored. He loved to watch tv like his favorite western, Gun Smoke. He enjoyed dirt track racing like at the Atomic Speedway before it closed. Roger loved to fish and spend time with his family and his friends. Roger is preceded in death by his biological father, Daniel Ward, his biological mother Georgia Louise Goodman Byrge, his dad and mom, Elbert "Paul" Goodman and Sarah, brothers: Hoye and Dale, sisters: Bernice, Georgia, and Unavee, infant sisters: Ruby Mae and Margaret Ann, son: Gilbert Goodman, and grandchildren: Annabelle Renee and Justin Lee Goodman.

Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Hatmaker Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 29. 2024 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Josh Hawkins and Rev. Jimmy Lindsay officiating.
