Roger "Goody" Craig Goodman

 

Mr. Roger “Goody” Craig Goodman, 63, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 13, 2023 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Jimmy Cargle officiating. Interment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. 

Justin Goodman, Hardy Goodman, Michael Goodman, Jay Rigsby, Matt Rigsby and Randall Seymour will serve as pallbearers.  

Craig was born August 22, 1960 in Tift County to Patsy Nell Willis Goodman and the late Wilbur Troy Goodman. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sisters-in-law, Denise Goodman and Rhonda Rigsby.

Craig was a graduate of Tift County High School and had a remarkable career and dedicated many years to Bridgestone/Firestone, where he served as a managing partner. His hard work and commitment left an indelible mark on the company and those he worked alongside.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Craig cherished the moments spent with his family. He particularly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, precious memories that will be treasured forever. His love for family was immeasurable and evident the joy he found in their presence.

In his leisure time, Craig loved indulging in a variety of hobbies and interests. Fishing provided him solace and allowed him to connect with nature. He also eagerly followed the Atlanta Braves and passionately cheered for the Georgia Bulldogs. These pastimes brought him great happiness and allowed him to unwind from the demands of everyday life.

He is survived by his loving wife Keelie Seymour Goodman; his dear mother Mrs. Patsy Nell Willis Goodman; his devoted daughter Leslie (James) Thomas of Tifton; his caring sons Josh (Meg) Goodman of Moultrie and Chase (Kensley) Goodman of Tifton; and his adored grandchildren Montana Thomas, Madison Thomas, Zachary Thomas, Colton Goodman, Nellie Grace Goodman, Dallas Goodman, and Brant Goodman. Craig also leaves behind his brothers Charles (Sylvia) Goodman, Clay Goodman of Brookfield, and Chris (Lisa) Goodman of TyTy. 

Craig Goodman has left a lasting legacy marked by love, kindness, and dedication. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace.
