Roger K. Griffey

GRIFFEY, Roger K., 81, of Tampa, went to be with the Lord, Friday, October 26, 2012. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jean Ann Leechin. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Joyce M. Griffey; sons, Michael (Kathy), Kenneth (Karen), Donald (Melanie) and David Griffey (Gail) and Tom Leechin; daughter, Laura Pelham (Kenny), 16 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren. The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M., Monday, October 29, 2012 at Blount & Curry, Terrace Oaks Chapel. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9724 Cross Creek Boulevard, Tampa. Interment with military honors will follow at 2:30 P.M. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. For 12 years he was a devoted advocate for the children assigned to him through the Guardian ad Litem program.
