As a little girl Roger came to live with us. I was pretty young but I thought he was the most handsome man standing in my daddy's barbershop and getting a suntan in our back yard. I would climb up and sit on his lap when he wasn't cutting hair. He was always nice to us and we felt like he was part of our family. I am happy that my dad opened our home to him. He was like a movie star living downstairs. Over all these years I have thought of Roger many times. Rest in peace, Roger.

As a very young girl, I too had a crush on Roger. I spent as much time with him as I could. My fondest memory of him is how he would lay in the sun but only tanning his front side. When I asked him why he replied that no one looked at his back. Rest in peace.

As a little boy a man came to live with my family. Our house had my fathers barbershop in it and this new person became a sort of part of our family and worked as a barber for my father. He was very special to me as I looked up to him like my personal Elvis in our home. He did not stay more than a year as I recall but I never forgot Roger. I ran into him later in life as an adult and we both remembered our time as family.
He was a vey good man.
