Roger Hicks Obituary
Born February 21, 1938 in Jersey City, New Jersey he was the son of the late William and Alice (Stevenson) Hicks. He was the loving husband of Patricia Ann Hicks, his wife of 68 years.
Roger was employed for the Social Security Administration, where he worked as an actuary for 39 years, until retiring in 2000. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling and playing card games with friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Lyla Lorraine Taylor and husband Brian Whalley; niece Renee O'Connell; and several other nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by daughter Dawn Marie Hicks, and was the last surviving of his immediate family.
The family will welcome friends on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 10:30 to 11:30 am, with a service beginning at 11:30 am, at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster MD 21157. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to BridgingLife Hospice, 200 Memorial Ave., Westminster MD 21157.
