Roger Keith Holland, 75, of Hamilton, Alabama passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born February 5, 1950, at Russellville Hospital, Roger was the beloved son of the late Junior Holland and Gladys Olene Williams Holland.

Roger had a deep love for life, his family, and the simple joys of the outdoors. Whether working in the yard, tending his garden, or spending time in the woods, he found happiness in watching things grow and in staying active. He was an avid sports fan-especially of NASCAR and Alabama football-and never missed a chance to cheer on his teams.

Family was at the heart of everything Roger did. He treasured time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He even sold his beloved Harley-Davidson to buy a side-by-side so he could share outdoor adventures with them-just one of many ways he showed his love.

Roger met the love of his life, Becky, in the spring of 1972. They married just five months later on September 22, beginning what would have been 53 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, adventure, and love. For the past decade, Roger and Becky have proudly served with the Tiffin Allegro Club, traveling across the U.S. and forming lifelong friendships that became an extended family.

Roger was a faithful member of Old Burleson Baptist Church in Vina and, in recent years, attended Beaverton Baptist Church, where his youngest son, Rusty, serves as pastor. He was a man who truly never met a stranger, and his presence lit up ballfields, church pews, campgrounds, and boat docks alike. Whether skiing on Bear Creek, boating on the Tennessee River, or flying a homemade kite he built with friends, Roger's joy was contagious.

He was known for his sweet tooth, particularly for lemon meringue pie and homemade ice cream, and he brought that same sweetness into the lives of everyone he met.

Roger is survived by his loving wife Becky; two sons, Joe (wife, Christie) and Rusty (wife, Crystal); three grandchildren, Joey Holland (Phoebe), Tanner Holland (wife, Kourtney), and Emma Grace Holland; and four great-grandchildren: Kynslee, Ledger, Myles, and Kolbee Kate. He is also survived by his brother Randy Holland (Rebecca), sister Rita Inman, brother-in-law Danny Inman, sister-in-law, Linda Ballard and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Preceded in death his parents, Junior and Gladys Holland; sisters-in law, Judy Holland and Faye Lindsey; brothers-in-law, Paul Ballard and Jhugh Ballard.

Roger's legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, at Marion County Funeral Home. The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, at Marion County Funeral Home with Bro. Rusty Holland and Bro. B.J. Mills officiating and the burial at Old Burleson Cemetery in Vina, Alabama.
