Roger Jean was born in La Pointe des Palmistes, Haiti on April 6,1947 and passed on November 26,2025. He was the fifth of 11 children. Roger was affectionately known as “Roro” by those close to him. Growing up, he attended Beraca school in La Pointe. He was known to be respectful and always loved his family. He was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. Roger was always in search of a better life to help not just himself, but his family as well. 

When he was in his early 20s, he left Haiti for the Bahamas. While in the Bahamas, he was already the father of 2 baby girls who he left in the care of his mother. In the Bahamas, he fathered 3 other children, 1 girl and 2 boys. He left the Bahamas in search of a better life and settled in New Jersey around 1980. While in New Jersey, Roger was joined by the mother of three of his children and the children. He wed the mother of 3 of his children and they lived in New Jersey, until approximately 1984. Roger then moved to Broward County Florida with his first wife and three of his children where they resided until after all of their children graduated high school. Subsequent to his children graduating high school, Roger moved to Orlando which would become his final resting place. While in Orlando, Roger had his youngest son. Roger spent most of his employed life in construction. He worked hard, supported his family and was active in the lives of all of his children. He supported all of his children financially and always stressed the importance of love of family and education. 

He is survived by so many that love him including: His children: Sylvia Jean and her spouse Belizaire Fabre, Rennette Jean, Ruth Jean and her spouse Stevenson Clerisier, Rubin Jean and his spouse Merline Tiennat, Benjamin Jean, and Jacob Jean along with his spouse Ruth Carmelle Charles. His siblings: Antoinette Joseph and her spouse William Joseph, Examene Cherilien and her spouse Ulce Cherilien, Rocheny Jean, Albertus Jean, Jeancilia Leveille and Bernadette Jean. His grandchildren: Sandy Jean, Wendy Jean, Marthe Dorana Leonis, Wilmada Leonis, Jude Leonis, Laurensky Alcime, Keisha Marc, Shalensky Marc, Shalonsky Marc, Raimsky Marc, Stephanie Marc, Bianca Clerisier, Mikayla Clerisier, Noah Clerisier, Khari Jean, Sarai Jean. His great-grandchildren: Genesis Marc, Marthe Jean, Caleb Jonassaint, Kymani Jean-Baptiste. The surviving mothers of his children: Lamercie Etienne, Lucita Jean, and Marie Rose Louis. His nieces and nephews: Dixon Jean, Jeannide Jean, Mavens Jean, Andre Joseph, Stanley Joseph, Renette Coles, Melinda Joseph, Luc Joseph, Jean Cherilien, Sherley Avilus, Kervens Jean, Jacqueline Jean, Islande Jean, Louloune Jean, Benchie Jean, Michelande Jean, Louinise Jean, Luckson Jean. He is also survived by so many loving cousins and friends. Roger will be remembered for his dedication to his family and loved ones, his fighting spirit and his sense of humor. He will forever be in our hearts and minds.
