Mr. Kellogg taught me how to play the drum when I was attending Arbor Park Middle School. He was always happy to chat with everyone and always knew how to make us laugh. I'll never forget him. May he rest in peace.

I went Arbor Park, class of '95. I loved band class. I joined the band, I wasn't very good at the drums but I remember just really liking the atmosphere Mr Kellogg brought to class. It says alot when you'd rather stay after school in his band class than back home or out with friends. Our band class took a trip down to Indianapolis to play outdoors. It was a windy day I recall because my music sheet blew away along with the other drummer beside me. We played along, or tried to as both of of laughed not knowing what we were playing to. That trip to Indianapolis was great because of Mr Kellogg. May he rest in peace

Mr.Kellogg was my music and band teacher at Arbor Park middle school from 2005-2009. We´ve made many memories that I´ll cherish for the rest of my life and he will be missed by many. When my friends and I were younger we would stop at his house in Oak Forest while trick-or-treating. Thank you Roger for teaching me what you knew with music so I can pass it down to my kids. And may you rest in peace

Mr. Kellogg left a big impact on me. He lent me his fathers personal tenor saxophone-- something that was very sentimental to him-- to use when I went off to high school because he knew that I didn't have access to another one. My condolences to Mrs. Kellogg and family.

Mr. Kellogg was nothing less than inspirational to all three of my kids that attended Arbor Park especially Amanda Sanchez. He worked with me and Mrs Sexton in an effort to establish an instrument recycling program for families that couldn't afford to purchase an instrument but wanted to play in the band. Even though the program didn't catch on, Mr Kellogg was always willing to do anything that would inspire kids to play an instrument. RIP Mr Kellogg Condolences to the Kellogg family.

I remember grade school and high school times with Roger. They were fun times.
Then we went on in life only to meet again when my children joined band at Arbor. A wonderful surprise. I am most appreciative of the time he spent teaching my children music.

I hope his family finds peace reading all these messages and to know how special of a teacher he was, truly a one of a kind. You could ask a person who went to Arbor any year and they would praise him or share a funny story. Thank you for the memories and the lessons, Mr. Kellogg!

Mr. Kellogg was such an inspiration to so many of us students. He ignited a passion for music and performance that imprinted on countless lives. He chose the song You Raise Me Up by Josh Gorban as our 2008 8th grade song and I will never forget practicing and performing it 17 years ago. It is one of my core memories. And that is what Mr.Kellogg did, he raised us up so we could stand on mountains and instilled in us kids that we could do anything and that he believed in us. Heaven gained a beautiful soul.
