Roger Lee McFadden

Roger Lee McFadden, 84, of Mount Vernon died Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

He was born September 21, 1940, in Stillwell, Ohio.

Roger attended Mt. Vernon Academy and graduated from Columbia Union College, now Washington Adventist University. He served in the U.S. Army and then worked for AT & T until he retired. He was an avid gardener and could make any flower grow!

Roger is survived by his sister, Charlotte (Stephen) Graf, his sister-in-law, Patricia (Hiram) McFadden, 4 nephews, Lewis Earl (Melicia) McFadden, Phillip Paul (Hollie) McFadden, Dennis Paul (Kimberly) Falasco, Carl Patrick (Deborah) Falasco, and 1 niece, Beth Alice Falasco.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Miller McFadden and Maxine Janice Strouse McFadden, and his brother, Hiram Lundy McFadden.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, 1:00 PM at Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd. in Mount Vernon. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial with military graveside honors conducted by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council will be in Mound View Cemetery.
