Roger Eugene Nyseth, age 94, Eau Claire, WI, passed away at Marshfield, WI on March 11, 2025.
Roger was born in Eau Claire, WI to Ted and Olga (Knudtson) Nyseth on October 10, 1930.
He grew up in the Eau Claire area and enlisted in the army in 1949. He talked often about time spent in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1952. After returning from the Army, he married Joan Helgeson. They were married 51 years before her passing in 2004.
Roger was an electric motor repair technician, including owning his own shop. He was a jack of all trades and always willing to help others. He liked to fish, play cards, did metal detecting and woodworking. He enjoyed a good meal out and loved family gatherings, and the Packers. We will miss him and that smile he always greeted us with.
Roger is preceded in death by his wife Joan Nyseth, his parents, brothers: Everette (Carol), Tom, James (Billy), David (Sandy), Gene; one sister, Oma (Wynn) Virgin; in-laws: Joe (Eleanor) Helgeson, Darlene (Gary) Rognholt, Monty Loomis and Mike Ives.
