Roger was such an emotional person. Whether "upset" or happy you knew exactly how he felt. He provided lots of laughs and many discussions as his HR support person at Duke. Regardless I always enjoyed time with him. Nothing but fond memories.

As an HR representative Roger often challenged me. In the end he always did the right thing because in the end that´s what really mattered to him. When he smiled I knew we had reached agreement.

I agree with Jackie, no words can be added to explain who Roger was and what he meant to those who knew him. I also worked with him some 20 years at Duke. His inspiration and friendship will live on. I will certainly keep his family in my prayers. Roger is now truly at home!!
