Roger Edwin Scott

Roger Edwin Scott, age 81, of Frisco, Texas passed away on February 17, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born on August 6, 1944, to Marie Elizabeth (McGrath) and Otto Edwin Scott in Sacramento, California. In September, 1982, Roger married Mary Margarete Tecumseh in Carson City, Nevada.

Roger was a veteran of the United States Air Force and an Officer with the California Highway Patrol for 31 years, retiring in 1998.

Roger is survived by his wife, Mary Scott of Frisco, Texas; his children, Tammy Vancourt and her husband, John of Lodi, California, Robyn Stevens of Dallas, Texas, Brian Scott and his wife, Shalin of Yuba City, California and their mother, Dee Poirier. Also survived by children Chabon Esparza of Carson City, Nevada, Jon-Michael Scott of San Diego, California, Matthew Scott and his wife Amy of Arlington, Texas; his twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; his brother, Kevin Scott and his wife, Kathy of Knoxville, Tennessee; his sister-in-law, Lila Scott of Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

Roger was preceded in death by his grandson, Joseph Andrew Stevens; his parents, Marie and Otto Scott; his brothers, Robert Scott, Otto Scott, Jr. and his daughter-in-law, Kristine Esparza.
