Roger Lee Steege, a beloved figure who brought calmness, care, and love to those around him, passed away on April 22, 2025, in Thornton, Colorado. Born on October 23, 1938, in Iowa, Roger lived a life marked by a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world and the people it holds.

Roger was known for his patience and his helpful nature, always ready to lend a hand or offer a kind word. He took immense pleasure in the simple joys of life, often found driving through the mountains, capturing their grandeur through his photography. His love for nature went hand in hand with his dedication to his home, where he found solace in painting rooms and tending to his yard, creating a welcoming space for family and friends alike.

At the heart of Roger's joy was his loyal dog, a constant companion on his many adventures. He approached each day with a loving spirit, taking care of not just his beautiful home but also nurturing bonds with those fortunate enough to know him.

Roger is survived by his son Todd and his brother Daryl, who will carry forward his legacy of love and kindness. He was predeceased by his cherished wife Linda, whose memory remained a guiding light in his life.

As we reflect on the memories of Roger, we will always remember him getting ready for his trips to the mountains and the warmth he brought to our lives. His gentle presence will be missed deeply, but the love he shared will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched.
