Roger Dale Thrasher

Roger Dale Thrasher, 65, a retired painter, died on Friday, February 18, 2022, at his home in Shreveport due to end-stage COPD. He was born on December 28, 1956, in Monroe, LA, to Tom Thrasher and Willa Lynn Lemons. He spent most of his life in Shreveport, Elm Grove, and Keithville, LA. Roger bravely served as a boiler mechanic in the U.S. Navy. In his free time, he loved fishing, camping, and hanging out with his loving family. He played guitar and found joy in picture painting later in life.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Huey Lemons Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Burkhart; his children, April Burkhart, Cheryl Clemons, Robin Brown, Amy Woodard, Rachel Sutton, Christopher Engle, and Roger Rhodes; his grandchildren, Arabella, Talon, Tinsley, Greyson, Ryan, Ean, and others; and his 3 siblings, Billy Thrasher, Tommy Thrasher, and Gerald Dean Thrasher.
