Born: May 21, 1939 in Dixon, IL
Died: September 7, 2025 in Franklin Grove, IL
Roger E. Trotter age 86 of Dixon passed away on Sunday Sept. 7, 2025 at Franklin Grove Living and Rehab. He was born on May 21, 1939 in Dixon, IL the son of Edward and Cleo (Kelchner) Trotter. Roger worked for Willet Hoffman and Associates for over 40 years prior to his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Elk's Lodge, loved sports especially the Chicago Cubs and Bears, and enjoyed walking, yard work, and his family. Roger married Mary Means, who was the love of his life, on April 3, 1965 in Dixon. He is preceded in death by his wife two sons Guy Trotter, Derek Trotter, siblings James Trotter and Patricia Christensen. Roger is survived by his son Cory (Tina) Trotter of Rockford, two grandchildren Ashley, and Tyler, his brother Dennis (Vicky) Trotter of Dixon, and many nieces and nephews. Cremation rites have been accorded with a celebration of life to be held on Sept. 13, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the family home at 1301 Bonnie Ave in Dixon, IL. Arrangements by the Jones Funeral Home in Dixon. Condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com.
