Roger Lee Wait, 88, of Lincoln, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023. He was born August 26, 1934, to Elvin and Marian (Geersen) Wait. He graduated from Teachers College High School in 1952 and served in the U.S. Army from June 1956 until December 1959. He graduated from the University of NE in 1964. He worked for the Journal Star for many years as a copy editor and was a Deacon at St. Mark's on the Campus from 1985 to 2005.
He is survived by his niece (Betty Pikschus, Republican City)
He was preceded in death by his father and mother (Elvin and Marian Wait), his sister (Marlene Johnson), his brother (Edwin Wait), and his nephew (James Nuttleman).
Memorial services will be held 11am, Friday, April 14, 2023 at St. Mark's on the Campus Episcopal Church, 1309 R Street.
