Roger Carl Wenzlaff, age 88 of Appleton, WI passed away on March 27, 2026. He was born to Carl and Ruth (Bilter) Wenzlaff on July 22, 1937 in Appleton, WI. Roger graduated from Appleton High School. He retired from the Outagamie Highway Department in 2000. Roger enjoyed trap shooting. He was a hunter safety instructor and was awarded the 1981 “Man of the Year” from the Outagamie Conservation Club. He married the love of his life, Sandra “Sandie” Ziemer and together, they raised 2 boys, recently celebrating 63 years together.
Roger is survived by his wife, Sandie Wenzlaff; his sons, Keith (Tammy) Wenzlaff and Michael Wenzlaff; his grandchildren, Zach (Sam) Wenzlaff and Jacob Wenzlaff (special friend Mary Ehlert); his brother, Gary (Barb) Wenzlaff; his Godchild, Lori (Steve) Grassel; as well as many other extended relatives and friends.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Kay; and his parents-in-law, Robert and Ruth Ziemer.
In respect to Roger’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Roger will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton, WI.
