To Windover family, Joyce and all the family,
My heart is breaking with yours on the loss of a great man.
Roger and I have been friends since about 8 years old when we met at Camp Owasco at a time of crises in both our lives. We hit it off, Years intervened, and we later re-connected at Union Springs Academy, where our friendship grew. We both attended Atlantic Union College in '62..both intent of serving God. Roger and Joyce, already sweat hearts, pursued their dreams of a happy home, where he became a pillar in his community, church and business world. We kept reuniting on occasions with our families. Each time a pleasant remembrance of how God led us in our lives.
And now, old friend comes the saddest, hardest and most joyous part of the journey..Saying good by to treasured loved ones from this earth, and then opening our eyes to see Jesus, along with those earthly faces we loved so well and hearing "Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter into my peace."
I'll be there.
Love,
Dave Spielman
