Roland and I became friends winning the 8th grade field day relay race... We stayed friends from that day on. We have had so many adventures in our time as friends, and I'm sure he will be ready for others when we meet again... first one to ride..down by law...forever missed..

I have so many memories with Roland. I remember from days at school, to the bus, and to how him with other friends would always come to my place and hang with my dad, "Pops". I even remember when they went fishing. He will be remembered and missed.

Roland had the ability to bring anyone out of the darkness they were in. He made me smile every time I saw him!

Roland and I went to school together starting in Elementary school. I remember my mother taking Roland and I to Skate on School night at the local skating rink. He was always my friend. We never had an argument. I will miss him

I am so heartbroken to hear about Roland. I had him in class his freshman year and then my husband and I were his counselors after that. He was so respectful, so kind and so polite. I always felt such a bond with him. I told him if he stayed out of trouble and would graduate, that he could take my Lexus to senior prom. When it came time to cash in, he stood in my office smiling that big smile of his, shaking his head and said he just couldn“t do it! I will never forget him. My deepest condolences to all of his family.

After I got paralyzed in 2002, Roland became one of the few people who were my rock. He would come spend time with me, even when he had to walk in the rain, just so that I would be ok. No matter what battles he was facing, I still like to believe that I knew his heart and that he was a good person. His smile and laugh from better days of the past will be missed for sure.

Regardless of what he was going through in life, Roland always had a smile on his face. He had a distinct laugh. He was one of the first friends I made when I transferred schools in middle school.
