Passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the age of 88. Loving husband of the late Mary Alice (nee Gunderson). Dear dad of Renee DeGroot, Annette Kerkman, Mark (Jodie) Hoppe, and Greg (the late Sheila) Hoppe. Proud grandpa of Clark Jr. (Jenny), Matt, the late Chuckie, Halie, the late Nathan, Greg Jr., Justin (Kacie), and Brandon. Great-grandpa of Kylie, Colton, Kennedy, and Gretta. Preceded in death by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at St. Matthew's Catholic Parish (in the little brick church), 9303 S. Chicago Ave, Oak Creek, WI on Wednesday, September 6 from 10am until the Funeral Mass at 11am. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery in Raymond, WI.
Rollie started Hoppe Excavating in 1948 and worked for many years with his wife Mary Alice, sons Mark and Greg, and grandsons Greg Jr., Justin, and Brandon. He also loved projects, as he was a talented finisher and detailer.
