I went to see Butch often, he was a talented musician. I lived near him and I walked up the hillwith my dog and loved talking to him. We talked about my father, Leonard Sick who was married to Mary.
His beagle got loose one day and ended up on Nanticoke Ave. I grabbed the pup and Butch was driving by so we got him in his truck. RIP sir

I've known Butch Neira for over 5 decades.
I first knew of him when he was in a group known as "The Cousins".
later on in late 1969 or 1970, I knew of him in the group "Flesh & Blood".
He has played & performed with more musicians & singers than I can count.
His talent was unsurpassed when it came to singing lead vocals, in a high pitch, or harmony and playing drums simultaneously, in perfect time with solid excellence! He was a total professional.
He was a good friend of mine.
As a singer in this area for 55 years, I never actually was a member of the same band as Butch.
However, he always requested that I sit in with his band every time I showed up in the audience.
I spoke to Butch about 2 or 3 weeks ago.
He was always a genuine compassionate man.
May I extend my sincere condolences to his family and the many many friends he has all over the country, especially in the Binghamton, Johnson City, Vestal and Endicott area of NY's southern tier.
Peace, Love & Blessings, Butch.
You are loved, my friend.
