I remember Zizi Jeanmaire movies from my youth. I thought her an amazing dancer up there with Cyd Charisse and Maya Plisetskaya. Then I discovered movies of Roland Petit ballets - excitingly innovative. May he rest in peace. And condolences to his widow who is still around like Mitzi Gaynor,

Roland Petit and Zizi Jeanmaire were very instrumental in awakening in me a love for all cultural arts when I was an adolescent. I grew up in Suisse and then left for the U.S. I am sad to hear of his passing and that Mme Jeanmaire is now grieveing for a wonderful companion and father to Valentine. To the the family of Roland Petit - May God give you peace and comfort through his word and the Lord Jesus Christ during this time of sorrow, I know that he will be missed by many.

I have seen you dance with Cyd Charisse in The Devil in Black Tights and watched with awe a clip of "Le Jeune Homme and La Mort." Ballet and dance everywhere owes you a debt that can only be repaid by re-mounting and dancing your ballets.

I am sorry to hear of Mr Petit's death. His contributions to true dance worldwide will surely be missed. Please accept the prayers of support- comfort- and endurance that are being said for the entire family and may the God of tender mercies comfort the family at this sad time.

Mr. Petit has lived a long and successful life that has touched the lives of many others. How pleased you should be to know that your beloved husband has brought joy to so many people "Daddy Long Legs" is one of my favorite movies and the dancing was the best parts. Please know that God feels your loss and he promises to comfort you during this time of mourning 2 Cor 1: 3,4. Also put faith in the future promise that death will be no more Rev 21: 3, 4.
