Oscar was a delightful and loving person. My dad, Elder C. E. Darity, my son, Bryan Darity and I attended Oscar's surprise 80th birthday celebration in Nashville in 1999. It was a wonderful event. I am saddened to learn of his passing, but he is in a far better place with the Lord he loved.

Lonzo (the original one, Lloyd George) and Oscar were a musical treasure. Films of their act are on youtube. My Own Grandpa will live forever.

"I'm my own grandpa...". Need we say more? The end of a tradition in real country music. Condolences to the Sullivan family as well as to his memory on "The Grand Ole Opry".....

I had the pleasure of working with Oscar, in 1976. Certainly a great musician, and entertainer. A wonderful person. He gave me my first opportunity to play The Grand Ole Opry. Thank you Lonzo & Oscar. Mr Sullivan will be missed.

I always enjoyed Lonzo and Oscar on the Grand Ole Opry. I especially liked "Hole In The Bottom Of the Sea" when Oscar could never keep up! Hilarious! I sing that for my grandkids now. Will miss him.

I first heard Mr. Sullivan in the early 1980s as I discovered country music--real country music, which is what he played. He was a wonderful entertainer and, from all that I read, a wonderful person. My condolences to his family and friends.
