I loved Disney as a child and still have great admiration for Disney now. I appreciate the contribution Mr Crumb has mad to the Disney world.

I loved Disney as a child and still admire it as an adult. One of the reasons are the animation. Mr Crump leaves a lot of good memories for us to have continuous enjoyment. For that we are truly grateful.

In 8th grade, I had a history day project, and I decided to do mine on Disneylands Haunted Mansion. For this project, we had to find a reliable primary source. I don't know where I got the audacity to call anyone for an interview at age 13 but I decided that I was going to get that primary source no matter what. I had read about all of the contributions to the mansions' designs and effects that Rolly Crump had contributed and decided that I would do more research on him. In doing so I found a direct phone line to his estate And gave it a call. I'm not sure who initially answered but they talked to me about what I wanted to do and set up an appointment for a phone interview that same day. I was grossly unprepared and in too deep. The time came for the Interview, and he was one of the nicest, most charismatic people I've ever had the pleasure to talk to. We may have only chatted for an hour, but he was able to give me wonderful insight on the creation and goings on of the mansion. I gave my thanks and appreciation and hung up the phone, ready to write and create my poster board full of all this knowledge. This was the only time I ever spoke to Rolly, but it will always stick in my mind that he took the time to talk to some random kid about a Disney project he had worked on some 40 odd years ago just to help out with a middle school project. I doubt he would've remembered me, especially all of these years later, but due to his kindness and brilliance, I will never forget him.
