Roma Jeanne Jamison, 96 , a former resident of Franklin, Tennessee, died peacefully November 23, 2025 in Georgetown, Indiana. She will be buried next to her husband at Florida National Cemetery Bushnell, Florida.
Roma was born March 14, 1929, in Portland, Oregon, where her parents were pastoring The United Brethren Church. She was the youngest of nine siblings. She attended Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho, where she met her husband, Jack Jamison and they were married September 10, 1949. She and her husband had 3 children. They lived in various states, following occupations of her husband Jack. She was a member of the Nazarene Church and was a Nazarene pastor’s wife for some years. She graduated with a Business Degree in 1973 from Tabor College, Hillsboro, Kansas. She had many business/office positions throughout her life.
She enjoyed traveling, playing board games and watching sports with her family and with her husband and loved to bowl. One of her favorite sayings was “Horse Feathers”. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and prayed for her family and many others every day. Her family loves her and will miss her, but are celebrating her eternal life in Heaven with her heavenly father.
Survivors include her three children and spouses, Greg (Vicki) Jamison, Annelle (Dennis) Gutzmer and Scott (Debbie) Jamison. Her grandchildren, Lynna, Brian (Jessica), Spencer (Stevie) and Staci (Dan) and her eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, John (Jack) R. Jamison, his and her parents and her siblings.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a funeral service celebrating Roma's life taking place at 3:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Roma's memory may be made to Hosparus - the Community Hospice of Southern Indiana.
