He was born August 3, 1950, in Wetzel Co. WV, a son of the late Kernel E. and Ethel P. Greathouse.
Romey retired from the Laborers' Union Local #1149. He then worked on lawn tractors and mowers for his friends and self. He loved fishing and boating with family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Delmar D "Cudge", Ralph "Bud" and John Greathouse; and two sisters, Bonnie Thomas and Daisy "Sis" Riggs.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Cathy Colvin Greathouse; and three stepchildren, he raised as his own. James V. (Jodi) Littleton of Wheeling, WV, Anthony L. (Allena) Littleton of New Martinsville, WV, and Michelle L. Littleton (Christopher) Tenney of Weston, WV; 8 grandchildren, Shaun, Tristan Littleton, Ryan, Derek Gillespie, CJ Luzader, Austin, Alyssa and Dani Littleton; 4 great grandsons that he adored also, Avery, Abel, Remi Gillespie and Alan L. Littleton. His closest nieces, Lynn Post, Codi Post, Ivy Haynes and Vicky Goddard.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 11am until time of service at 1:00 pm at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory 751 Third Street New Martinsville, WV, with Pastor Bill Stokes officiating.
Burial will follow in Moore Cemetery Wileyville, WV.
