Rommie Gettys Obituary
Rommie Gettys, age 88, of Sunshine, passed away at the Henderson Care Center on Monday, January 13, 2025.
Rommie was born on Wednesday, August 26, 1936, in Rutherford County, to the late Lee Osborne Gettys and Fannie Luckadoo Gettys. He loved the outdoors and was known as a mountain man. He grew up working on the family farm.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde Gettys, A.L. Gettys, and Johnny Gettys; and sisters, Erie Gettys, Mattie Toney, and Etta Thomas.
He is survived by his brother, Claude Gettys and wife Faye, of Sunshine; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be private for the family.
