Romona Lynn Schermerhorn, 63, of Fayetteville, NC passed away on April 2, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones.
Romona was born on April 14, 1961 to the late Ray Cole and Theresa Greco. Romona had a love for cooking, sailing away on a cruise, and her family. She was very caring and would do anything for anyone if they needed help.
She is survived by her loving husband, William Schermerhorn; sons William Raymond Schermerhorn and Erik Thomas Schermerhorn, both of Fayetteville; brother Raymond Cole; sisters Carmella Burlarley (Michael) of Accord, NC; nieces Rachel Cain and Lisa Burlarley; nephews Tony Cole and Kevin Cole; and many great nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her nephew Christopher Cole.
The Family will receive friends 11:30 AM-12:30 PM on May 7, 2025 at Green Springs Baptist Church, 1095 E Green Springs Rd, Parkton, NC 28371. Funeral services will follow promptly with Pastor Steve Kirk officiating.
Interment will be at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery 8220 Bragg Blvd. Spring Lake, NC 28390 at 2:00 PM.
