Ronald R. "Ron" Hiles, age 86 of Amanda, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. He was born on June 29, 1939, in Logan, the son of the late Russell and Eleanor (Dotson) Hiles. Ron was a 1957 graduate of Chauncy Dover High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962. He spent most of his time in the Navy serving on the USS Casa Grande LSD - 13. He served diligently with the Casa Grande Reunion Association and he had traveled extensively with his wife by his side, operating the Mason Mobile Military Museum. He loved riding with his wife, Arlene on the back and in the side car of each of their motorcycles.
He is survived by his children, Jake (Shari Lynn Bennett) Hiles, of Morgantown, WV and Marty (Linda) Hiles, of Lancaster; many nieces and nephews; "grand-dog', Bobo and Jake and Share Lynn's cats. He is preceded in death by his wife, Arlene; brother, Mike Hiles.
Cremation has been arranged in the care of Taylor-Theller Funeral & Cremation Service, Amanda. At his request, no formal services will be observed.
